California is the place you ought to be
Well, a lot of things have changed since you last heard from me. I am currently writing this from San Bernardino, California where I have been placed on the Stampede team roster.

Bubba is on fire! Literally
It's so hot out here now. I can't believe Florida is this hot. Yesterday it was 95 degrees here in Vero. The humidity is so bad you can't even walk outside for five minutes without getting all sweaty. They say it's only going to get worse. The rain has also been really bad out here. So far we've had six rainouts. We just got done playing two double headers back to back because we had two rainouts in a row. Jul 20, 2000, 12:33
It's Hot! in Florida
Well, were half way done. I can't believe we've already played seventy games. I hope the second half goes by just as fast because it's only going to get warmer out here. They say that July and August are the hottest times of the year here. It's already in the mid-nineties and it's so humid.

Season is Flying By!
I can't believe the season is all most halfway over. Eleven more games till the all-star break. It seems as if spring training was just over. The fact that I never left Dodger Town I'm sure is a reason for the season going by so fast. I can't believe we've played 58 games all ready.

Work to be done... around the house
Injuries, injuries and more injuries seem to be the topic of the first half of the season. However, I'm thankful that I've only missed 15 games. It seems as if every time one problem goes away another one starts up.

Bad News, Bad Knee
Well, I wish I could say that I've gotten off to a good start, but I can't. I've only been able to play in eight of our last sixteen games. My right knee is a little swollen right now. I'm not in that much pain, but because of the swelling I have lost some range of motion.

Out in Left Field, Bubba finds a home
Well, Spring Training is finally over. I had a great camp and things seemed to have gone pretty well. I was however pretty confused why I was not practicing with our AA team, but realized that the people upstairs have a better idea where guys needed to be. I've been placed on the Vero Beach team to start out with. They moved me to left field this year, which is somewhat of a new position for me. I've played center most of my career, but I seem to be adjusting relatively well so far.

Beach Life.. Here I come
It's my second spring training in my professional career and unfortunately it hasn't started out the way that I thought it would. When I got to Spring Training aside from my unexpected sleeping situation, I was put on the disabled list. About a week and a half before I headed out here, I hurt my shoulder while I was throwing.

You're my Roomie too?
Well I've finally made it here to spring training. The Dodgers spring training camp is located in Vero Beach Florida, which is about an hour and a half southeast of Orlando. I arrived here on Friday the 8th of March, unlike all the pitchers and catchers who had to be here on the 2nd. Minor league position players are usually the last ones to report.

Rice U. Brings Good Memories
Hey guys, it's me again. Well, only about a week and a half left before I leave. Feeling pretty anxious about leaving, I guess seeing all the Big League guys out there already has gotten me even more excited about starting the season. It made me even more anxious a few weeks ago when I went to the opening of the new Rice University Baseball Stadium and first game of the season.

After hitting the books Bubba hits baseballs
Hey guys it's good to meet you all and I hope that my journal entries give you some good insight into the upcoming season. My name is Bubba Crosby and I am a player for the Los Angeles Dodger organization. I was drafted by the Dodgers in the first round of the 1998 draft. The last year and a half I've been playing in the California league. I actually just finished playing my first full season for the San Bernardino Stampedes. As for the upcoming 2000 season I don't really know just yet where they're going to send me. The Texas League is where our AA organization is. I hope that's the team they'll be looking to send me to play for this season. Feb 13, 2000, 11:59
