It's Hot! in Florida

Well, were half way done. I can't believe we've already played seventy games. I hope the second half goes by just as fast because it's only going to get warmer out here. They say that July and August are the hottest times of the year here. It's already in the mid-nineties and it's so humid.

Our team finished about 6 games out of first in our division. The St.Lucie Mets finished first with the best record in the whole league. I think we had the forth or fifth best record in the league. I though we did an ok job. I know we're a better team than that, but this league is good and the competition is strong. I still believe that if we can stay consistent with our pitching and hitting we have a shot at the second half.

We had four guys from our team that were in the all-star game. We had two pitchers an infielder and a catcher. There were actually three pitchers who made the team, but Randy Durame was promoted to AA San Antonio. I did not get to see the game because I was at the beach most of the time, but the guys told me that our division won the game in the eight inning with a score of two to one. I'm sure it was an exciting game.

I was pleased with my performance for the first half. I feel that if I can continue in the second half I might get a chance to play in AA San Antonio by the end of the season. My injuries that I seemed to complain about before have seemed to calm down a little, but they still let me know they're still there at times.
