Bubba is on fire! Literally

It's so hot out here now. I can't believe Florida is this hot. Yesterday it was 95 degrees here in Vero. The humidity is so bad you can't even walk outside for five minutes without getting all sweaty. They say it's only going to get worse. The rain has also been really bad out here. So far we've had six rainouts. We just got done playing two double headers back to back because we had two rainouts in a row.
Well, were off to a slow start. I thought we would be doing much better than we are. In the second half the standing start all over. I believe that we're five games out of fist already and we've only played eighteen games. We need to go on a winning streak so we can have a chance getting in the play-offs.
I strained my hamstring yesterday so I won't be in the lineup for the next few days. I let myself get real dehydrated and I started cramping. We had a one o'clock game, which made things worse. It's hot enough playing at night out here much less in the middle of the afternoon. You can't drink enough fluids out here. It seems every time I go home after a game I can stop drinking water.
It sure is July though. Everyone seems as if they're at each other's throat. If you've never played pro ball before this is the time of year where everyone starts getting physically warn down. 140 games is a long season for anyone. If you wonder why baseball players are getting bigger these days, it's because the stronger you make yourself the better chance you have at a long season. Well, that's all I got for now so until next time have a good one.
