Bubba Crosby Timeline

 

March 7, 2008: Bubba does not pass his physical and is released by the Mariners. They didn't say why, but it's probably his shoulder.

February 19, 2008: Bubba signs a minor league contract with the Seattle Mariners. An invitation to spring training is not included, so he will report March 6 with the minor leaguers.

October 15, 2007: The Reds grant Bubba free agency.

July 20, 2007: Bubba has successful but season-ending surgery in Cincinnati for shoulder tendinitis.

April 23, 2007: The Bats put Bubba on the DL with left shoulder pain, retroactive to April 20.

March 27, 2007: Bubba accepts his assignment to the Triple-A Louisville Bats.

March 24, 2007:
The Reds designate Bubba for assignment.

November 10, 2006:
Bubba signs a Major League contract with the Cincinnati Reds.

August 4, 2006:
The Yankees designate Bubba for assignment, in order to clear room on the roster for another relief pitcher.

May 17, 2006:
Bubba suffers a hamstring strain and is put on the 15-day DL. He doesn't return until June 15 - nearly a full month.

October 10, 2005:
The Collision.

September 19, 2005:
"The Bubba Crosby Game": Bubba hits the first walkoff homer of his life, winning a game tha Yankees desperately needed.

April 11, 2004:
"Crosby Clambake" - Bubba is spectacular in his first start as a Yankee, shining on offense and defense.

April 9, 2004:
Bubba homers in his first at-bat as a Yankee.

March 22, 2004:
Bubba hits an inside-the-park grand slam in spring training.

July 31, 2003:
Bubba traded to the NY Yankees, along with Scott Proctor, in exchange for Robin Ventura.

June 2003:
Bubba chosen to the PCL All-Star team.

May 2003:
Bubba chosen player of the month, PCL.

Thursday, May 29, 2003:
Bubba's Major League debut.

June 19, 1998:
Signed by the Dodgers.

June 1998:
Bubba drafted by the LA Dodgers in the first round, 23rd overall.

1994:
Bubba, coached by Chuck Knoblauch's dad, pitches the Bellaire High School baseball team to a state championship.
